BIOGRAPHY

There are three letters in Ron's name just like there are three phases of 3.0 play, and just like Ron's name, Ron excelled in each of them!  In league play, Ron excelled in both singles and doubles, notching 50 wins during his decade-long career, a career that was even halted by a four year nigh-professional journey when he was bumped to 3.5!  But like a 3.0 phoenix rising from the 3.0 ashes, Ron returned to the 3.0 courts to add to his impressive legacy of excellence!  Speaking of excellence, with such a fantastic league standing, it's no surprise that Ron excelled in the playoffs, too, earning an 80% win percentage in his 10+ playoff matches, a streak that included a 7-0 National Qualifying run with long-time tag-team partner William Fox.  And speaking of excelling, Ron especially excelled in tournament play, where his 39 overall tournament wins rank 2nd all-3.0-time!  Along the way, Ron won not one, not two, but THREE 3.0 tournament titles, two singles and one doubles, becoming one of only seven 3.0ers all-3.0-time hoist both a singles and a doubles tournament championship.  Not surprisingly, Ron excelled in one more category - making 3.0 history in taking home the 2015 Doubles Team of the Year award!  In the end, thanks to his league excellence, his playoff excellence, and his tournament excellence, Towpath's very own Ron is adding one more element of excellence to his excellent career - entry into the Hall of 3.0 Fame!
