BIOGRAPHY

One of the original founding members of 3.0 tennis, Paul's 11 year career on the courts of 3.0 tennis was one for the 3.0 history books!  Beginning his career in Wooster, he was not only an inaugural member of the USTA's first ever season but he was also a key member of a first ever Flight title team and the first ever club that enjoyed back-to-back Flight titles - Wooster!  Then he helped do it again for the first ever back-to-back-to-back Flight title, making Wooster the title town when it came to 3.0 tennis!  During that time - and all of his time, as it turned out - he focused on the team aspect, playing nothing but doubles while also acting as a Captain en route to setting many a doubles record during his decade-plus career.  Indeed, team was always the focus of Paul, and speaking of team, he and teammate Edmond Lash were just that - a team! - joining forces a record 62 times!  In doing so the pair set the all-3.0-time tag-team record with 41 wins, a record that stands to this day!  Speaking of wins, Paul's 89 victories at hte 3.0 level was the all-3.0-time record for an entire decade, as he held the all-3.0-time record for career wins from 2009 to 2019 ... which is actually two decades (depending on how you look at it)!  Thanks to his amazing records and 3.0 legacy, Paul, a dominant player during the first decade of the new millenium, entered a place he was always destined to enter - the D.F.O. Hall of 3.0 Fame!
