Paramount Medina Adult Winter Singles and Doubles Championship Information!

Updated: Jan 6, 2020

Well, it's that time of year again - time for the first major* tournament event of the 2020 season! Every year (well, almost every year) around this time (give or take), Northeast Ohio tennis players work themselves into shape in order to compete at the first tournament of the season - the Paramount Medina Adult Winter Championships! Also known as the PAWC (at least by me, though probably no one else), this event showcases the finest* tennis talent the area has to offer. And sometimes I show up, too.

Hosted by Paramount since 2007 and usually held at their Medina facility (although a few have been held at the Westlake location), this event is the first U.S.T.A. tournament of the new year, and as such the 3.0 world looks to get some court time and start the new year out right!

I'm sure many other levels of tennis compete here as well (in fact, that's actually not that difficult to confirm ... many other levels of tennis do compete here), but since this website is dedicated to those of us in the 3's, we're going to spend the next few days looking at the history, the former champions, and the current 3.0 players that are looking to make some noise (sometimes quite literally) at the 2020 incarnation of the PWC (see, the "PWC" thing is starting to work, huh?).

If you've read the FAQ sheet, you know a bit about me, my need to look up otherwise worthless and needless stats, and my desire to shout about those worthless and needless stats from the mountaintop, usually into the wind while no one is even close to being able to listen. And since Northeast Ohio doesn't have many mountains, well, it's a lot of random shouting.

So ... let's start shouting!
