The first 3.0 event of 2022 is upon us! And whoa-nelly, there are a host of 3.0 all-stars in attendance!
William Fox, fresh off his 55+ 6.0 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, joins with 3.0 legend Ron Novak, a two-time D.F.O. Player of the Year and frequent top ten D.F.O. Hall of 3.0 Fame nominee, as the marquee headline team! Indeed, William, a former Akron Open Doubles Champion, and Ron, a former Akron Open Doubles Consolation Champion, bring a wealth of tournament and court experience as both bring in over 100 combined 3.0 wins! Add in their homecourt advantage and these two look to be the odds on favorites to bring home some Towpath hardware!
William Farr, however, the wily 3.0 veteran from Paramount Medina, will certainly have something to say about who takes home any shiny plastic trophies! Indeed, with over 50 wins at the 3.0 level to his name, and the fact he and partner Scott Nelson played in tournament play on these very courts in 2021, show that this pair have the experience - and the moxie! - necessary to make some 3.0 tennis noise this 3.0 tennis weekend!
But don't count out newbies Mark Robeson and Jeff Magistrelli! While lacking experience, they have youth and homecourt cooking on their side, and no doubt will look to hoist their first ever 3.0 titles!
