For the second year in a row, no tournament or state championship play took place, meaning the D.F.O. was forced to dig deep to find a worthy crew to be named D.F.O. 3.0 Players of the Year. And dig we did! And worthy they were!
2001 saw the first repeat as Edmond, the 2000 award winner for The 3.0er of the Year and the Doubles Player of the Year, repeated said award thanks to a second double-digit doubles performance in a row!
Srini and Shashi could take solace, however, in the fact that even though the had tied for the season lead in overall wins (8), the were both named both the Doubles Players and Doubles Team of the Year award winners! SO MUCH SOLACE!
And the solace continued as their leader, Captain Stephen, was named Captain of the Year thanks to enjoying the most captain wins in all of O-H-I-O!

Voting Notes
In the second ever voting by the D.F.O. Voting Panel, longevity almost played a key role in helping to determine the vote of each panelist as Rocky River's Jeffrey nearly stole the show with his impressive record and impressive 3.0 tenure. In the end, though, Edmond ran away with 3.0er of the Year status with his impressive double-digit winning record! In doubles, the voting was a bit more clear cut as tenure once again won the day, as Srini and Sashi, key players with the most dubs wins on a championship team, was just too much to be ignored! Meanwhile, several captain's had great seasons, but only one had double digit wins, and that one was Westowne's own Stephen!
