BIOGRAPHY
When one looks up the word "singles" in the dictionary, one finds that it is a noun, defined as "an individual person or thing rather than part of a pair or a group." When it comes to 3.0 tennis, few players in 3.0 history have met that definition to the "T", as Travis, during his 3.0 career, eschewed team play for that of the solo, and, as one of the selfishly singularly singles players in recent 3.0 history, he accumulated singles records galore. Indeed, with a record 81 singles victories upon his singles victory belt, Travis defined "going it alone" during the later half of the 2010s, setting records in league and tournament play with his maverick style, chalking up a record six singles tournament championships with his controversial style of play, his ability to play as many matches as possible, and his unique ability to make his opponents uncomfortable with both his play and his words. In the end, all these attributes helped him win four D.F.O. 3.0er of the Year awards and one Singles Player of the Year award, all in equally controversial style. But it wasn't until he embraced the ideology of "team" that he earned his greatest accomplishment - a team championship run that helped him become the first 3.0er to chalk up triple-digit victories, earning an all-3.0-time record victory numero 100 and, but, more importantly, being part of one of the best ever 18+ Nationals team finishes in Ohio 3.0 history. Thanks to his individual play and the intervention-like efforts of his teammates that finally opened up his Grinch-like tennis heart to beauty of team play, Travis joins yet another team - the D.F.O. 3.0 Hall of Fame team!
