BAY VILLAGE 3.0 LEAGUE TENNIS
Where the most talented tennis players play ... against us.
For several decades (well, technically two, since we started in 2010 and it's now 2023), the 3.0 Bay men's tennis league has welcomed the finest Bay tennis players Bay has to offer ... and usually has offered them up as sacrifices both home and away.

THE BAY VILLAGE 3.0 STORY
On a scale of 1 to 10, this story is about a 3...
OUR BELIEFS
Known mostly for three things, the Bay 3.0 league has a well earned reputation as being 1) a fun, happy-go-lucky (though usually UNlucky) group who doesn't take things too seriously (it's hard to take things too seriously when you've had 11 consecutive losing seasons), 2) having the only outdoor-only U.S.T.A. league courts in the entire Northeast Ohio area (truly a hallmark, our courts are slanted ever-so-slightly to the North, giving us, when the wind kicks up, a home court advantage unlike any other), and 3) being well versed in the post-match (and sometimes in-match) "hydration" skills. Add those three factors together and what do you get? A team that has been traditionally the doormat of the league, no matter what league we've played in.
OUR HISTORY
Years ago before time could be counted (i.e., the mid-2000s), a group of aspiring tennis players took part in a recreational mixed hitting group, and after a few years of enjoying the level of play, the group decided to join the U.S.T.A. and form a 3.0 team. From there, history writes itself, as the group enjoyed it's best ever season, a first place, playoff-bound run that saw a first round playoff victory. From there, fortunes have been a bit, ahem, uneven, but despite players coming and going and captains coming and going and losses mostly coming, the group has maintained their positive outlook and fun-loving approach.
OUR BEST
Over the decade, several standout 3.0 players (and even one 3.0 standout team!) have graced the courts of Bay Village. From coaches to players, home matches to away, wins and default losses, there have been quite a few memories over the years (emphasis on "few"). From the one magical playoff season to the numerous last place finishes, to that one time we swept a team (they all defaulted) to the time a player was DQ'd after only two matches, the mighty tennis playing men of the Bay 3.0 leagues have seen ... something
